  • Check tyre pressure with a calibrated gauge before each ride; never rely on visual inspection alone.
  • Inflate to the pressure range specified on the tyre sidewall or in the motorcycle owner's manual — never exceed the maximum rated pressure.
  • When fitting, lightly dust the outside of the tube with talcum powder to help it seat evenly inside the tyre and reduce friction during installation.
  • Use plastic tyre levers only; metal levers risk pinching the tube against the rim and causing an immediate or delayed puncture.
  • Ensure the TR4 valve stem seats squarely through the rim valve hole before beginning to inflate.
  • Inspect the tube for any signs of chafing, cracking or previous patches whenever the tyre is removed for other service.
  • Store unused tubes in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, heat sources and ozone-generating equipment (motors, fluorescent lights); UV and ozone degrade rubber over time.
  • If a slow leak is suspected, submerge the inflated tube in water to locate the source before patching or replacing.
