The Macna 7.4V USB Charger is a dual-lead charging cable for Macna 7.4V lithium batteries, the type used to power heated gloves and other heated gear. Instead of tying you to a dedicated mains charger, it draws power from any USB socket — a laptop, a USB wall plug or a USB outlet on the bike — so you can top up wherever you happen to stop.
Two leads let you charge a matched pair of batteries at the same time, and the Easy Connect plugs mate directly with Macna's 7.4V battery fitting. It is a sensible spare to keep in a tank bag or luggage for touring and commuting through the colder months, and an easy replacement if the original cable has been lost or damaged.

- Connect the Easy Connect plugs to your 7.4V Macna batteries first, then plug the USB end into a powered USB socket such as a computer, USB wall charger or bike-mounted USB outlet.
- Use both leads together to charge a matched pair of batteries, or a single lead if you are only topping up one.
- Charge indoors on a clean, dry, non-flammable surface and keep the batteries in view while they charge; disconnect once charging is finished.
- Remove the batteries from your gloves or garment before charging, and never charge while the gear is being worn or while riding.
- Keep the plugs and USB connector clean and dry; wipe the cable with a soft, slightly damp cloth and never immerse it or run it under water.
- Do not use solvents, petrol or alcohol-based cleaners on the cable or connectors.
- Store loosely coiled rather than tightly wound, and avoid sharp bends or pinching at the plug ends, which is where cables usually fail.
- Inspect the cable before each use for cuts, kinks, corroded pins or a loose plug, and stop using it if any damage is found.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of the reach of children.
- Charge batteries before a long period of storage, then top them up periodically in line with the battery manufacturer's guidance.
