Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the shell finish.
Remove and hand-wash the interior liner and cheekpads (if removable) using mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before refitting.
Never use petrol, acetone or spray-based cleaners near the helmet, as these degrade foam liners and shell integrity.
Inspect the chinstrap and buckle before each ride to ensure secure fastening.
Check the visor or peak mounting hardware periodically and tighten if loose.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and fuel vapours, which degrade EPS foam over time.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present — the EPS liner may be compromised internally.
Refer to the manufacturer's guidance on helmet service life; most helmet brands recommend replacement after a set number of years regardless of use.
