Description

The M2R Hybrid is a dual-purpose adventure helmet that blends road-touring comfort with off-road styling. It pairs an injection moulded ABS shell with a removable vented peak, a wide-opening scratch-resistant outer visor and an internal drop-down sun visor, so it works as readily on a long highway stint as it does on gravel and fire trails.

This is the Scratch PC-5F graphic. It suits adventure, dual-sport and touring riders who want one helmet for mixed riding, with a fully removable comfort liner, ESRS emergency-release cheek pads and a micrometric ratchet buckle for quick, repeatable fastening. Intercom-prepared recesses mean a comms unit can be fitted without hacking at the liner, and M2R sizes its helmets for Australian riders.

Operations & maintenance

Measure the widest part of your head, about 2 cm above the eyebrows, and match it to the size chart (XS 54-55 cm through to XXL 64-65 cm); the helmet should sit snug with no pressure points and should not roll forward when you shake your head.
Set the micrometric strap length once so the ratchet clicks in firmly against the jaw, then use the quick-release tab for day-to-day fastening - fasten the strap fully on every ride.
Remove the comfort liner and cheek pads and hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild soap; rinse well and air dry out of direct sunlight, never in a dryer or on a heater, and refit fully before riding.
Clean the shell, outer visor and internal sun visor with warm water and a mild soap on a soft cloth only. Petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive polishes will craze the polycarbonate and strip the scratch-resistant and UV coating.
Soften insects and road grime by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing dry - dry wiping is the fastest way to scratch a visor.
Use the quick-release mechanism to swap or replace the outer visor rather than forcing it, and check the visor seals and pivot plates for grit and secure fitment periodically.
Fit the peak for off-road and lower-speed adventure riding; remove it for sustained highway work if you notice wind lift or buffeting, and make sure all peak fasteners are tight before setting off.
When fitting an intercom, route the speaker wires through the pre-formed recesses and refit the liner over them so nothing presses against your head or interferes with the EPS.
The red ESRS tabs are for emergency removal of the cheek pads by responders after a crash - leave them tucked away and do not use them for routine cleaning removal.
After wet riding, dry the helmet at room temperature with the liner and visor open; do not leave it near an exhaust, heater or in a hot car, as heat damages EPS and adhesives.
Store on a shelf or in a helmet bag away from sunlight, fuel vapours and solvents; never hang the helmet on a mirror or handlebar where the liner and EPS can be deformed.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage, and do not paint, drill or apply solvent-based stickers to the shell.
