Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, acetone, or abrasive cleaners, as these can degrade the shell and finish.
Clean the interior liner by hand-washing gently with a mild detergent and lukewarm water; allow it to air-dry completely before wearing — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Wipe any visor or face shield with a clean, damp microfibre cloth to avoid scratching the lens surface; do not use paper towel or dry cloth on a soiled visor.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, oil, and exhaust fumes, which degrade both the EPS liner and outer shell over time.
Do not paint the shell or apply adhesive stickers unless the manufacturer confirms compatibility, as these can compromise shell integrity.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — even with no visible damage, the EPS liner may be compromised and will no longer absorb energy effectively.
As a general industry guideline, replace the helmet every five years from the manufacture date regardless of apparent condition, due to gradual degradation of materials.
