  • Clean the helmet shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive cleaners or aerosol sprays as these can degrade the shell and liner materials.
  • Never use petrol, paint thinners or strong detergents near the visor or shell — these can cause crazing or structural damage.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and fuel vapours, ideally in its bag or box when not in use.
  • Do not sit, kneel or place heavy objects on the helmet, as compressive impact can compromise the EPS liner without visible external damage.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — internal EPS foam is single-use by design.
  • As a general guideline, replace the helmet every five years from date of manufacture regardless of apparent condition, as materials degrade over time.
  • If the helmet has a removable inner liner, follow the manufacturer's washing instructions (typically hand-wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent, then air-dry away from heat sources).
