Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive soap; never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or strong detergents as these can degrade the shell and finish.
Clean the visor by first soaking it with water to soften insects and debris, then wipe gently with a soft cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this causes fine scratches.
If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it in lukewarm water with a mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before reinserting — do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
Inspect the chin strap, buckle, and retention system regularly for wear, fraying, or damage and replace if any is found.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel fumes, and chemical vapours; a cloth helmet bag helps prevent scratching during storage.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible — the EPS liner may be compromised internally.
Do not apply paint, adhesive stickers, or chemical treatments to the shell, as these can weaken the structural material.
Avoid resting the helmet on mirrors or fuel tanks where contact with rubber or fuel residue can damage the finish.
