Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth, mild soap and lukewarm water; never use petrol-based solvents, acetone or abrasive cleaners, as these can silently degrade the shell material and painted finish.
Where the interior comfort liner and cheek pads are removable, hand-wash them in cool water with a gentle detergent, rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before reinserting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Never use a hair dryer, heat gun or compressed air to speed up drying, as heat can warp or compress the EPS liner.
Inspect the chin strap, buckle, retention system, visor mechanism and outer shell for cracks, tears or unusual wear before every ride.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even when no visible damage is apparent — the EPS impact liner is a single-use component that cannot be relied upon after a hard strike.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, exhaust fumes and household solvents; UV exposure and chemical fumes degrade helmet materials over time even without visible change.
Use a dedicated helmet bag or padded box when transporting or storing the helmet to prevent scratches to the shell and visor.
Do not hang the helmet by its chin strap for extended periods, as this can distort the strap webbing.
