Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive pads, or aerosol cleaners, which can degrade the shell material and finish.
Clean the visor or face shield with a damp cloth only — never dry-wipe, as this scratches the lens surface.
If the inner liner and cheek pads are removable, hand-wash them in warm water with mild detergent and allow to air dry fully before refitting; do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
Inspect the retention strap and buckle regularly for fraying, cracking, or looseness; replace any worn components before further use.
After any significant impact — even with no visible external damage — retire the helmet immediately, as the internal EPS liner may be compromised and will no longer provide adequate protection.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and extreme heat, ideally in a protective bag to prevent scratching.
Do not apply stickers, paint, or adhesives to the shell without first confirming compatibility with the manufacturer, as certain chemicals can weaken the shell.
Follow the manufacturer's recommended service life and replace the helmet at the end of that period regardless of apparent condition.
