Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish.
Clean the interior lining by hand using lukewarm water and a gentle detergent; allow to air dry completely before use — do not use a dryer or direct heat.
Inspect the chinstrap buckle and retention system regularly for signs of wear, fraying, or damage; replace if compromised.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel, oil, and chemical fumes, which can degrade materials over time.
Never paint, apply stickers with solvent-based adhesives, or use aerosol sprays directly on the helmet shell, as these can weaken structural integrity.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — internal foam may be compromised.
As a general guideline, motorcycle helmets should be replaced every five years from date of purchase, or sooner if the helmet shows visible wear or has been involved in a crash.
