Description

A genuine LS2 Pinlock 70 Max Vision anti-fog insert (part DKS575), made to fit LS2 MX702 visors. The insert fits to the pins inside the visor and seals against it, creating an insulating layer that keeps the shield clear when cold, damp air meets a warm exhale.

It suits riders who deal with early starts, winter commutes and wet weather, and anyone replacing an insert that has been scratched, clouded or lost. The Max Vision profile is cut to cover more of the visor aperture than a standard insert, so the anti-fog area extends closer to the edges of your field of view. Supplied clear, so it does not alter the tint of the visor it is fitted to.

Check that your visor is the MX702 type and has Pinlock pins fitted before ordering, as inserts are model-specific.

Operations & maintenance

Confirm your visor is the MX702 type and has Pinlock pins fitted before installing — inserts are not interchangeable between visor models.
Fit the insert with the silicone bead facing the visor: flex the visor slightly outwards, locate the insert over both pins, then release so the visor tension holds it in place.
If the seal looks uneven or the insert fogs at the edges, rotate the eccentric pins a small amount to increase tension until the bead seals evenly all the way around.
Do not touch the inner anti-fog face with your fingers; skin oils reduce its effectiveness and can leave permanent marks.
Clean the insert only with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth, using very light pressure — the anti-fog coating is soft and marks easily.
Do not use solvents, alcohol, glass cleaner, petrol or abrasive cloths on either face.
Remove the insert before cleaning the visor itself, then let both parts air dry fully before refitting.
If moisture gets trapped between the insert and the visor, remove the insert, dry both surfaces and refit rather than riding with a fogged gap.
Crack the visor open a little at low speed or when stopped to improve airflow in very humid conditions.
Store the helmet away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and replace the insert once it is scratched, hazed or no longer resisting fog.
