A genuine LS2 replacement peak for the MX701 Explorer adventure helmet, finished in the Alter Matte Black/White graphic. It is the direct match for the Alter colourway helmet, so the graphic lines and finish carry through from shell to peak.
Ideal if your original peak has been scratched, cracked or lost, if you want a spare in the tail pack for longer trips, or if you simply want to change the look of your MX701. Supplied as a peak only — helmet not included.

- Check that the peak fasteners are present and correctly seated before fitting; replace any that are damaged or missing.
- Hand-tighten the peak screws only — over-tightening can strip the mounts or crack the peak.
- Re-check the fasteners periodically, particularly after off-road riding or vibration-heavy sections, as they can loosen over time.
- Clean with a soft cloth, warm water and a mild soap; rinse and dry with a microfibre cloth.
- Avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners, abrasive pads and harsh polishes, which can dull or craze the matte finish.
- Dry naturally away from direct heat sources; do not use a heat gun or hair dryer to speed up drying.
- Store the peak flat or fitted to the helmet, out of direct sunlight and away from heat, so it does not warp.
- At sustained highway speeds a peak increases wind lift and buffeting; if this becomes uncomfortable, tuck your head slightly or remove the peak for the freeway leg.
- Replace the peak if it is cracked, deeply gouged or has taken an impact — a damaged peak can detach at speed.
