  • Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water; avoid petrol-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the matte finish.
  • Clean the inner liner by hand with warm water and a gentle detergent; allow it to air-dry completely before reassembly — never use a tumble dryer or direct heat.
  • To preserve the matte finish, do not apply wax or gloss polishes; a dedicated matte helmet spray or plain water wipe is sufficient.
  • Inspect the retention system (chin strap and buckle) regularly for wear, fraying or damage, and replace if any defects are found.
  • After any impact — even one that appears minor — retire the helmet and replace it; helmet shells can sustain invisible internal damage that compromises protection.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemicals, which can degrade the shell and liner over time.
  • Replace the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture or sooner if the shell, liner or retention system shows signs of deterioration.
