Disconnect the clutch cable before removing the old lever assembly, and note the cable routing for reassembly.
Apply a small amount of appropriate grease or lubricant to the lever pivot bolt and pivot point during installation to ensure smooth operation and prevent corrosion.
Torque the pivot bolt to your motorcycle manufacturer's specification — do not over-tighten, as this will restrict lever movement.
After installation, adjust clutch cable free-play to your motorcycle's specified range before riding.
Periodically inspect the pivot bolt and lever for wear, cracks, or corrosion, particularly after off-road use or exposure to wet conditions.
