- Before installation, confirm lever compatibility with your specific model year — CB650F and CBR650F production years may have fitment differences.
- Remove the old lever by loosening the pivot bolt and adjuster hardware; retain all hardware if it is not supplied with the replacement.
- Apply a small amount of clean grease to the pivot point before fitting to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear.
- After fitting, check full lever travel and ensure there is no binding or fouling through the complete steering lock range.
- Verify correct clutch cable free-play per your Honda service manual after installation; adjust at the lever adjuster or cable end as required.
- Periodically clean the lever and pivot with a damp cloth; avoid high-pressure washing directly at the pivot area.
- Inspect the pivot bolt torque and cable adjuster lock nut periodically, particularly after off-road use or if the lever has been subjected to an impact.
- Do not use solvent-based cleaners on plastic or rubber adjuster components.
