Before installation, confirm lever compatibility with your specific model year — CB650F and CBR650F production years may have fitment differences.
Remove the old lever by loosening the pivot bolt and adjuster hardware; retain all hardware if it is not supplied with the replacement.
Apply a small amount of clean grease to the pivot point before fitting to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear.
After fitting, check full lever travel and ensure there is no binding or fouling through the complete steering lock range.
Verify correct clutch cable free-play per your Honda service manual after installation; adjust at the lever adjuster or cable end as required.
Periodically clean the lever and pivot with a damp cloth; avoid high-pressure washing directly at the pivot area.
Inspect the pivot bolt torque and cable adjuster lock nut periodically, particularly after off-road use or if the lever has been subjected to an impact.
Do not use solvent-based cleaners on plastic or rubber adjuster components.
