Before fitting, confirm the fitment code 401 is listed for your specific Honda model and year — consult WMP's fitment guide or your dealer.
Apply a small amount of grease or light oil to the pivot bolt and lever contact point during installation to ensure smooth operation.
After installation, check that the lever moves freely through its full range of motion without binding.
Adjust lever freeplay at the adjuster (where present) to suit rider preference; refer to your motorcycle's service manual for the recommended freeplay specification.
Periodically inspect the lever for cracks, bends or corrosion, particularly after a drop or impact.
Ensure the pivot bolt is torqued to the motorcycle manufacturer's specification after fitting.
Clean the lever with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.
Store the motorcycle and lever out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from corrosive chemicals when not in use.
