- Before fitting, confirm the fitment code 401 is listed for your specific Honda model and year — consult WMP's fitment guide or your dealer.
- Apply a small amount of grease or light oil to the pivot bolt and lever contact point during installation to ensure smooth operation.
- After installation, check that the lever moves freely through its full range of motion without binding.
- Adjust lever freeplay at the adjuster (where present) to suit rider preference; refer to your motorcycle's service manual for the recommended freeplay specification.
- Periodically inspect the lever for cracks, bends or corrosion, particularly after a drop or impact.
- Ensure the pivot bolt is torqued to the motorcycle manufacturer's specification after fitting.
- Clean the lever with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.
- Store the motorcycle and lever out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from corrosive chemicals when not in use.
