- Before purchasing, verify fitment against the Whites compatibility guide for your specific Honda model and year — not all Honda models are covered by a single part number.
- Apply a small amount of multipurpose grease or motorcycle chain lube to the lever pivot point during installation.
- Torque the pivot bolt to the specification listed in your motorcycle's service manual; do not overtighten, as this can restrict lever movement.
- After fitting, check lever freeplay and adjust at the adjuster barrel to suit your reach and riding preference.
- Test lever action and braking function in a controlled environment before riding at speed.
- Inspect the pivot point periodically for wear, looseness or corrosion, and re-lubricate as needed.
- Clean the lever with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid harsh solvents or abrasive compounds that may damage the surface finish.
- Store any spare levers in a dry location, away from moisture and direct sunlight, to prevent corrosion.
