Apply a small amount of multipurpose grease or motorcycle chain lube to the lever pivot point during installation.
Torque the pivot bolt to the specification listed in your motorcycle's service manual; do not overtighten, as this can restrict lever movement.
After fitting, check lever freeplay and adjust at the adjuster barrel to suit your reach and riding preference.
Test lever action and braking function in a controlled environment before riding at speed.
Inspect the pivot point periodically for wear, looseness or corrosion, and re-lubricate as needed.
