The KYT R2R Plain is a full face road helmet built around an aerodynamic shell shape developed with aeronautical engineers using design software and wind tunnel testing. The result is a compact, stable profile paired with a ventilation system that channels cool air through the helmet and flushes warm air out.

Its ADT-advanced thermoplastic shell is moulded in two sizes, and the internal EPS liner is likewise produced in two sizes with variable density, so the fit stays proportionate across the size range rather than relying on thicker padding. A class 1 optical visor, drop-down sun visor and fully removable, washable comfort liner round out the package.

A sensible pick for everyday road riding, commuting and weekend touring, in an understated matt black finish. Speaker pockets are built into the liner for riders running a comms unit.

Measure the circumference of your head about 2.5 cm above the eyebrows and compare it with the size chart before ordering; the helmet should sit snugly with no pressure points and should not roll forward or back when fastened.
Always fasten the double D-ring correctly: thread the strap through both rings, back over and between them, then pull the tail until the strap is firm under the jaw — never ride with the strap loose or unfastened.
Clean the shell with a soft cloth, warm water and mild soap only. Avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive products, which can attack the paint, the shell and the visor.
Clean the visor separately with lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth — no dry wiping, which drags grit across the coating and causes scratches.
Remove the cheek pads and comfort liner for washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse well and air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Refit only once completely dry.
The visor lifts off without tools using the hook and rotation mechanism — check the side plates are fully seated and the visor opens and closes cleanly before riding.
If fitting a Pinlock Max Vision insert, work with clean hands, tension it evenly on both pins and make sure the silicone bead seals all the way around.
Keep the vents clear of insects and road grime so airflow through the EPS channels is not blocked.
Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and never rest it on a mirror or handlebar where the EPS can be deformed.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage, and inspect the strap, rings, liner and visor mechanism regularly for wear.
Do not apply stickers, paint or adhesives to the shell, and do not modify the EPS or fit accessories that require drilling.
