The Kovix KNX-6 is a compact alarmed disc lock built around a solid steel body and a 6mm hardened steel push-down pin, designed to secure motorcycles, scooters and other machines fitted with brake discs up to 6mm thick.
A built-in shock and movement sensor drives a 120dB alarm: a light knock triggers a warning chirp, while continued tampering sets off the full siren. The alarm can be switched off when you need silent locking, so the same lock works in an apartment car park or at a track meeting.
Supplied in high-visibility fluoro green with a reminder cable and a mount, so the lock stays visible as a deterrent, easy to spot before you ride off, and simple to carry on the bike.

- Fit the pin through a brake disc hole with the lock body clear of the caliper, wheel weights and ABS sensor ring — check it cannot foul anything before walking away.
- Arm the alarm by pushing the locking pin down until you hear a single beep; to lock without the alarm, press the pin until you hear two beeps.
- Attach the supplied reminder cable between the lock and the handlebar or a mirror so you cannot ride off with the lock still fitted.
- Always remove the lock and check the disc is clear before moving the bike, even a short distance.
- Use the supplied mount to carry the lock on the bike, and fit it with the Allen key so it sits clear of moving parts and hot exhaust components.
- Keep the pin and keyway free of grit; rinse off road salt and mud with fresh water and dry the lock before storing it.
- Store the spare keys and the metal key-code tag away from the bike — the code is what you need to have replacement keys cut.
- Replace the CR2 lithium battery when the alarm becomes weak or unresponsive, and make sure the battery cover and seal are properly seated to maintain the IP67 rating.
- Remove the battery if the lock will be unused for a long period, and store it somewhere dry.
- Do not force the pin into a disc hole that is too small, and avoid striking the lock body with tools — damage to the electronics or the pin can jam the lock on the bike.
