Description

The K&N KN-113 is a cartridge-style powersports oil filter built to trap harmful contaminants while still allowing a high rate of oil flow. It uses high-flow premium filter media with uniform pleats and a nitrile rubber gasket, and is a direct replacement for HF113-specification cartridge filters.

It suits riders servicing Honda motorcycles and ATVs that take a cartridge filter of this size, from everyday owners doing routine oil changes through to racers and engine builders running high-end synthetic oils. Always confirm the filter matches your exact model and year before fitting.

Operations & maintenance

Confirm the filter matches your machine's make, model and year before fitting — compare the 37mm height, 52mm outside diameter and 12mm inside diameter against the filter you are replacing.
Replace the oil filter at the oil change interval specified in your vehicle's service manual, and more often if you ride in dusty conditions or race.
Cartridge filters are not serviceable — do not attempt to clean or reuse the element.
Drain the old oil and remove the used cartridge along with its O-rings; clean the filter housing and sealing surfaces before fitting the new filter.
Lightly smear fresh engine oil on the housing O-ring and sealing faces before assembly so the seal beds in without tearing.
Fit new housing O-rings where your service manual calls for them, and tighten the filter cover bolts evenly to the manufacturer's torque specification — do not overtighten.
Refill with the oil grade and quantity specified for your engine; K&N cartridge filters suit high-end synthetic oils.
Start the engine, let it idle, then check the filter housing for leaks and recheck the oil level once it has settled.
Store spare filters in their packaging in a cool, dry place so the media and gasket stay clean and undamaged.
Dispose of used filters and waste oil through an approved recycling or collection point.
