The Kenda K270 Dual Sport is a trail-and-road tyre built as a straightforward replacement for the original equipment rubber on dual sport and trail bikes. In this 4.10-18 size it carries a 4-ply rated casing and a 58P load and speed rating, and it is DOT approved for road use.

The tread is biased toward mixed-surface riding at roughly 40% dirt and 60% sealed road, so it suits commuters, farm and fire-trail riders, and anyone linking dirt sections with highway kilometres on the same set of tyres. Construction is tube type, so an inner tube is required.

  • Dual sport tread pattern aimed at a 40% dirt / 60% road split
  • DOT approved for road use
  • 4-ply rated casing (4PR) in this 4.10-18 size
  • 58P load and speed rating
  • Tube-type construction — an inner tube is required
  • Designed as a direct replacement for OEM dual sport and trail tyres
  • K270 tread pattern offered across 15 popular sizes
  • 1 x Kenda K270 Dual Sport tyre, 4.10-18 (sold individually)

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — bead seating and rim protection are difficult to do safely at home.
  • This is a tube-type tyre: always fit a new inner tube of the correct size, and check the rim tape and rim lock condition at the same time.
  • If a rotation arrow is marked on the sidewall, fit the tyre so it points in the direction of forward rotation.
  • Scrub in the new tyre gently for the first stretch of riding — avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the release agent has worn off the tread.
  • Check pressures cold before every ride and set them to the pressures specified on your motorcycle's placard or in its owner's manual; recheck after any off-road pressure adjustment before returning to sealed roads.
  • Do not exceed the tyre's marked load and speed rating (58P), and do not overload the motorcycle.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges, uneven wear and sidewall damage, and replace the tyre before tread depth reaches the legal minimum in your state.
  • Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, solvents and silicone tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and chemicals.
  • If the bike is laid up for a long period, keep weight off the tyre or move the bike periodically to avoid flat-spotting.
