A replacement motorcycle inner tube from Kenda, sized to suit 16-inch tube-type wheels running 3.50-16, 4.00-16 or the metric equivalent 100/90-16 tyres. It is fitted with a TR6 valve stem, so check that this valve type matches your rim before ordering.

Suited to cruisers, commuters and older road bikes that use spoked or tube-type 16-inch rims. Sold individually, it is a sensible item to replace at the same time as a tyre change or to carry as a workshop spare.

Note: this tube is supplied with a TR6 valve, not the TR4 valve used on some comparable listings.

  • Suits 3.50-16 and 4.00-16 tyre sizes

  • Confirm the tube size and valve type (TR6) match your tyre and rim before fitting; the valve hole in the rim must suit a TR6 stem.
  • Fitting is best carried out by a qualified tyre technician, as incorrect fitting is a common cause of tube failure.
  • Inflate the tube slightly so it just holds its shape before installing it in the tyre, so it seats without folds or twists.
  • Use tyre levers carefully and keep them clear of the tube to avoid pinching it against the rim.
  • Always fit a rim band or rim tape over spoke nipples on spoked wheels to stop the tube chafing.
  • Check that the valve stem sits square to the rim after fitting; an angled stem indicates the tube has shifted and can tear at the base.
  • Check tyre pressures regularly when cold and inflate to the pressures specified by your motorcycle or tyre manufacturer.
  • Fit a new tube when fitting a new tyre rather than reusing an old, stretched tube.
  • Store spare tubes flat or loosely rolled in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel, oils and solvents, which degrade rubber.
  • Replace rather than repair any tube with damage at or near the valve base.
