A replacement motorcycle inner tube from Kenda, sized to suit 17-inch wheels running 2.75-17 or 3.00-17 tyres (metric equivalent 70/100-17). It is fitted with a TR4 straight metal valve stem, the common pattern for spoked motorcycle rims.
Suited to riders of small-capacity road bikes, trail and off-road machines, postie bikes and scooters running tube-type wheels. Worth keeping a spare in the workshop or trail pack, as tube failure is the most common cause of a roadside or trackside stop.

- Confirm the tube size matches the tyre sidewall marking and that the TR4 valve stem suits the valve hole in your rim before fitting.
- Always fit a new tube with a new or sound rim tape (rim band) covering the spoke nipples, as exposed nipple ends will chafe through the tube.
- Inspect the inside of the tyre and the rim well for grit, stones and sharp edges before installation.
- Dust the tube lightly with talc, or use a tyre-fitting lubricant on the tyre bead only, so the tube can settle without binding.
- Inflate the tube just enough to hold its shape before installing it, then work the tyre bead on with tyre levers kept clear of the tube to avoid pinching it.
- Seat the valve stem square to the rim before fully inflating, and fit the valve nut finger-tight against the rim rather than clamping it hard.
- Where a rim lock is fitted, position the valve stem and rim lock as originally arranged and keep the rim lock nut loose until the tyre is seated.
- Check tyre pressures cold and regularly, tube-type tyres lose pressure faster than tubeless, and running under-inflated is a common cause of pinch failures.
- Store spare tubes flat or loosely coiled in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and petrol, oils and solvents.
- Do not reuse a tube that has been patched multiple times, has a damaged or torn valve base, or shows perished or cracked rubber.
