Inspect each jet for burrs or debris before installation — even new jets should be visually checked.
Use a proper flat-blade jet screwdriver or jet tool sized to the hex; an ill-fitting tool can damage the soft head and make removal difficult.
Tighten snugly by hand — over-tightening a main jet can crack the carburettor bowl threads or distort the jet seat.
