The Hot Rods HRK002 Main Bearing and Seal Kit is a replacement crankshaft main bearing and seal set for the Honda CR 125 R, covering model years 1990 through 2007. It is a cost-effective alternative to buying the equivalent OEM bearings and seals separately.

Intended for riders, racers and workshops carrying out a bottom-end rebuild or crankshaft replacement, the kit supplies the main bearings and crankshaft seals together so the lower end can be reassembled in one go. Bearings and seals should always be replaced as a set whenever the cases are split.

  • Replacement crankshaft main bearing and seal kit for two-stroke bottom-end rebuilds
  • Direct-fit application for Honda CR 125 R, 1990-2007 models
  • Supplied as a matched kit so main bearings and crank seals are replaced together
  • Budget-friendly alternative to sourcing individual OEM bearings and seals
  • Hot Rods part number HRK002
  • Crankshaft main bearings
  • Crankshaft seals

  • Installation is a workshop-level job: the engine must be removed and the crankcases split, so have the work carried out by a qualified mechanic if you are not equipped for a bottom-end rebuild.
  • Always replace main bearings and crankshaft seals as a complete set - do not reuse old seals with new bearings, or vice versa.
  • Thoroughly clean and inspect the crankcase halves and crankshaft journals before assembly; check the crank for run-out and end-play against the Honda service manual before fitting new bearings.
  • Fit bearings squarely and without hammering directly on the races - warming the cases and chilling the bearings is the standard method for a clean, damage-free fit.
  • Lubricate new bearings and lightly grease the seal lips with clean two-stroke or assembly oil before final assembly to avoid a dry start-up.
  • Use the Honda factory service manual torque figures and sequence for the crankcase fasteners; do not guess or over-tighten.
  • Renew the crankcase gaskets and O-rings at the same time, then pressure-and-vacuum test the sealed engine to confirm the new seals are airtight before running it.
  • After the rebuild, run the engine gently through a break-in period and use fresh, correctly mixed fuel and the specified gearbox oil to protect the new bearings.
  • Store the kit in its packaging in a dry place until fitting - bearings are vulnerable to moisture, dust and corrosion once unwrapped.
