The Moto Tassinari VForce3 is a complete replacement reed valve assembly for the 2003-2004 Honda CR125, supplied under part number MT-V311A. It replaces the standard reed valve as a single unit, so the cage, petals and stops all come ready to fit.

The VForce3 uses Moto Tassinari's twin-cage V layout, which places reed petals on both faces of the cage rather than the single pyramid arrangement used by conventional designs. The petals are short and light, so they open and close quickly and seal against the cage across a wide range of engine speeds.

Suited to CR125 riders chasing crisper throttle response and stronger low to mid-range pull for motocross, enduro and trail use, as well as anyone replacing tired or chipped original reeds.

  • Direct replacement reed valve assembly for the 2003-2004 Honda CR125
  • Twin-cage V design with reed petals on both faces of the cage
  • Carbon fibre reed petals for light weight and fast response
  • Short petal travel helps the reeds seal quickly across the rev range
  • Supplied as a complete assembly - cage, petals and stops together
  • Individual reed petals can be replaced without discarding the cage
  • Moto Tassinari part number MT-V311A
  • VForce3 reed valve assembly (MT-V311A)

  • Fit the assembly with a new intake gasket and make sure the mating faces on the cylinder and intake manifold are clean and free of old gasket material.
  • Tighten the intake fasteners evenly and to the standard Honda CR125 torque figures - over-tightening can distort the cage and stop the petals sealing.
  • Inspect the petals whenever the top end or intake is off: look for chips, cracks, curling or wear marks along the tips and edges.
  • Hold the assembly up to a light to check each petal sits flat against the cage; any visible gap means the petal should be replaced.
  • Replace petals individually as a matched set rather than discarding the whole cage.
  • Keep the air filter clean and correctly oiled - dirt and grit passing through the intake is the fastest way to damage reed petals.
  • Wipe the cage and petals with a clean, dry or lightly solvent-damp cloth only; do not soak carbon petals in cleaners or scrape them.
  • Do not sand, trim or otherwise reshape the petals or stops.
  • Check the intake manifold and boot for splits or air leaks at the same time, as a leaking intake will affect running regardless of the reeds.
  • Store spare assemblies flat in their packaging, away from heat, fuel and direct sunlight.
