- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use solvents, petroleum-based products, or abrasive materials as they degrade the polycarbonate shell and finish.
- Clean the visor with a mild solution and a soft cloth only; ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners will permanently haze the lens surface.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent or machine-wash on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry away from direct heat sources.
- Fit the Pinlock insert to the inner visor pins when riding in cold or humid conditions to minimise fogging; ensure the seal around the insert's perimeter is intact before each use.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight; prolonged UV exposure and heat degrade both the shell and the EPS liner.
- Keep the helmet away from fuel, chain lube, solvents, and other chemicals — contact with these substances can compromise structural integrity even without visible damage.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact regardless of visible damage; the EPS liner is a single-use energy-absorbing component.
- Inspect the visor regularly for chips or deep scratches that distort vision; replace the shield if clarity is affected.
- Check that vent sliders open and close freely and that the RapidFire visor release clicks positively into each position; apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to pivot points only if movement becomes stiff.
- As a general guideline, retire and replace the helmet five years from its date of manufacture, as shell and liner materials age regardless of use.
