  • Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, acetone or harsh chemical cleaners that can damage the shell finish or graphic.
  • Remove the interior comfort liner and hand-wash it with mild detergent in cool water; allow to air-dry completely before reinstalling — do not tumble-dry.
  • Clean the visor with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with mild soapy water; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch the surface.
  • If a Pinlock anti-fog insert is fitted, clean it separately with water only — avoid alcohol-based or solvent cleaners on the insert.
  • Store the helmet in a carry bag or helmet box in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and extreme heat.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible — internal EPS damage cannot be assessed by eye.
  • Inspect the chin strap, retention buckle and flip-up mechanism regularly for signs of wear, fraying or compromised function; do not use the helmet if these components are damaged.
  • Avoid applying adhesive stickers, paint or aftermarket coatings to the shell without confirming chemical compatibility, as some products degrade composite or polycarbonate shells.
  • Do not hang the helmet from its chin strap for extended periods, as sustained loading can stress the strap anchor points.
