Clean the outer shell using a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, fuel, or abrasive cleaners, as these will damage the shell finish and degrade the foam liner.
Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth; do not wipe a dry visor, as this causes fine scratching that impairs clarity over time.
Remove the interior lining and cheek pads and hand-wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent; allow all interior components to air-dry completely before refitting.
If a Pinlock insert is fitted or purchased separately, install it according to the Pinlock fitting guide — ensure the insert seals fully against the visor pins to prevent fogging.
Operate the internal sun shield lever smoothly; if it becomes stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant applied to the pivot points (not the visor surface) can assist without damaging plastics.
Periodically inspect the flip-front latch mechanism, chin strap, strap buckle, and visor seals for signs of wear, cracking, or looseness; do not ride with a damaged latch or strap.
Replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — the internal EPS liner is a single-use component.
Store the helmet in its carry bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, or chemical exposure, all of which degrade the shell and liner over time.
