Clean the outer shell with mild soap and lukewarm water using a soft cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, abrasive cleaners or compressed air.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads if they are detachable and hand-wash separately in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting.
Do not use petrol, paint thinners or harsh chemicals near the visor or shell, as these can cause crazing or degrade the material.
Inspect the visor and shell for scratches or chips regularly; a deeply scratched visor should be replaced as it can impair visibility.
After any significant impact — even if no visible damage is present — retire the helmet from use, as the energy-absorbing liner may be compromised.
Store the helmet in its bag or on a flat, ventilated surface away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour and extreme heat.
Keep the visor mechanism and pivot points free of grit; wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth only.
