Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water applied with a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based cleaners, solvents or abrasive pads that can damage the shell finish and graphic lacquer.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft, lint-free cloth; never wipe a dry visor as fine scratches will accumulate and impair vision.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry fully before reinserting.
Operate the integrated drop-down sun visor slider regularly and keep the channel free of grit; if the mechanism becomes stiff, clean the slider recess with a dry brush — do not lubricate with oil-based products.
Verify the chin bar locking mechanism clicks fully into the locked position before every ride; do not ride with the chin bar partially latched.
Inspect the helmet for cracks, deformation or deep scratches after any impact or drop — even a standing-height drop can compromise the inner EPS liner. Replace the helmet immediately if impact damage is suspected.
Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, exhaust fumes and chemical vapours, all of which degrade EPS and shell materials over time.
Replace the helmet at least every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the lining shows significant compression, the shell shows crazing, or the helmet has sustained any impact — regardless of outward appearance.
