The HJC RPHA 91 is a premium modular helmet built for riders who want the protection of a full-face lid with the practical convenience of a flip-up chin bar. Constructed using HJC's P.I.M. Plus (Premium Integrated Matrix Plus) composite shell, it delivers lightweight rigidity suited to touring, commuting and sport-touring riding.

The ABBES graphic in MC1SF presents a bold red-and-black design on a flat (matte) shell finish, giving the helmet a race-influenced look. An integrated retractable inner sun visor lets riders adapt to changing light conditions on the move, without stopping to swap shields.

  • Modular flip-up chin bar provides full-face protection with open-face convenience
  • P.I.M. Plus (Premium Integrated Matrix Plus) composite shell construction for lightweight impact resistance
  • Integrated retractable inner sun visor operable without removing the helmet
  • Pinlock-ready outer shield to reduce fogging in cold or wet conditions
  • Removable and washable interior liner and cheek pads
  • Multiple intake and exhaust ventilation ports for active airflow management
  • Aerodynamic shell profile developed using advanced CAD design
  • Compatible with HJC SY-MAX Bluetooth speaker system (sold separately)

  • Clean the outer shell with mild soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, fuel, insect repellent or harsh chemicals, as these degrade the shell finish and graphics.
  • Clean the visor by soaking it in warm water first to loosen debris, then wipe gently with a soft microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as this causes surface scratches.
  • If a Pinlock insert is fitted, remove it before cleaning the outer shield; handle the Pinlock lens with clean fingers only and avoid contact with the anti-fog coating.
  • Remove the interior liner and cheek pads per the owner's manual, hand wash in cool water with mild soap, and allow to air dry completely before reinstalling.
  • Inspect the flip-up chin bar mechanism and visor pivot points regularly; if either feels loose, stiff or grinds, have the helmet assessed by an authorised HJC service centre before further use.
  • Do not paint, drill, apply adhesive stickers to, or otherwise modify the shell or EPS liner — any modification can compromise structural integrity.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact regardless of visible damage; EPS impact liners are designed for single-use energy absorption.
  • Store in a helmet bag or original packaging in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, high heat and chemical vapours such as garage solvents or paint fumes.
  • Most helmet safety organisations and HJC recommend retiring the helmet no later than five years from first use or seven years from the manufacture date (printed on the interior label), whichever comes first.
