Description

The HJC RPHA 71 is a full-face sport-touring helmet constructed from HJC's P.I.M. Plus composite fibre shell — a premium multi-axial fibre lay-up that distributes load efficiently across the shell without excessive bulk. It is aimed at riders who prioritise long-distance comfort and refined aerodynamics without stepping away from a genuinely sporting profile.

A drop-down internal sun visor, ventilated chinbar, and removable interior liner make the RPHA 71 a practical everyday helmet as much as a performance one. The Pearl White finish is a clean, neutral colourway suited to a broad range of riding gear and motorcycle styles.

Key Features

  • P.I.M. Plus (Premium Integrated Matrix Plus) composite fibre shell for a balance of strength and reduced weight
  • Integrated drop-down internal sun visor, operated by a side-mounted lever
  • Pinlock-ready main visor to accept an anti-fog Pinlock lens insert
  • Multiple shell sizes used across the full size range for a closer, more consistent fit
  • Removable and washable interior comfort liner and cheek pads
  • Multi-channel ventilation with adjustable intake vents on the brow and chinbar plus rear exhaust ports
  • Emergency Quick Release (EQR) cheek pad system to assist first responders in helmet removal
  • Available from 2XS through to 2XL

Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell using a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive cleaners, or spray polishes that can degrade the shell finish and underlying composite structure.
Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth only; never wipe a dry visor — even fine road dust will scratch the lens surface.
If a Pinlock insert is fitted, clean it separately from the outer visor using only the approved Pinlock cleaning method; avoid pressing hard on the insert as it can deform and affect the seal.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash them in cool to lukewarm water with a gentle detergent; allow all padding to air dry completely before re-fitting to prevent odour and mould.
Store the helmet in its carry bag or original box in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, solvents, and heat sources — all of which degrade EPS foam and shell resins over time.
Never rest the helmet on a mirror stem or tank bag where it may fall; even a low drop onto a hard surface can damage the EPS liner invisibly.
Inspect the shell, EPS liner, visor mechanism, retention strap, and buckle for damage or wear after any impact — if the helmet has been dropped hard or involved in a crash, retire and replace it regardless of visible damage.
Replace the helmet at a maximum of five years from the date of manufacture printed on the interior label, or sooner if the shell, straps, or liner show deterioration.
Use the side-mounted lever to fully retract the drop-down sun visor before removing the helmet to avoid stressing the visor mechanism.
To activate the EQR system in an emergency, pull the red tabs on each cheek pad outward simultaneously; this is intended for first-responder use only and the pads should be re-fitted correctly before riding again.
