- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and mild soap solution diluted in water; never use solvents, petrol, brake fluid, or abrasive cleaners — these degrade the shell material and graphics.
- Clean the face shield with a soft damp cloth; never wipe it dry, as even fine dust particles will scratch the lens surface over time.
- Remove the interior cheek pads and crown liner before washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and allow to air dry fully before reinserting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Store the helmet in its carry bag or box in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels, and chemicals, all of which can degrade the EPS liner and outer shell over time.
- Replace the helmet following any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber and its protective capacity is compromised after a hard impact.
- Do not apply aftermarket stickers, paint, or cleaning sprays directly to the shell without confirming compatibility; certain adhesives and aerosols can chemically attack the outer shell.
- Inspect the chin strap and buckle regularly for signs of wear, fraying, or corrosion; replace if damaged, as the retention system is critical to helmet performance in a crash.
- Check the face shield for deep scratches, cracks, or distortion periodically; a damaged visor compromises vision clarity and should be replaced promptly.
- If fitted with a Pinlock anti-fog insert, clean it separately with a soft damp cloth only — do not apply cleaning sprays directly to the Pinlock lens as this can degrade its anti-fog coating.
