Clean the outer shell with a damp cloth and mild soap; never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, paint thinners or abrasive cleaners, as these degrade both the shell finish and underlying composite material.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting — do not use a tumble dryer or direct heat.
Clean the visor with a soft, damp microfibre cloth or visor-specific cleaner; never wipe a dry visor, as dust and grit will cause permanent scratching.
If fitted with a Pinlock insert, remove it for separate cleaning with warm water and a clean cloth; ensure it is fully reseated and locked before riding to prevent fogging.
Operate the internal sun shield only when your eyes are forward and your attention is on the road — do not flick it while cornering or at speed.
Inspect the retention system (chin strap and buckle mechanism) before each ride; replace immediately if the strap shows fraying, cuts or the buckle does not latch securely.
After any significant impact — regardless of visible damage — retire the helmet from use; the EPS liner absorbs energy by deforming internally and may be compromised without obvious external signs.
Store the helmet in a breathable textile bag away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, exhaust fumes and chemical storage; UV exposure and solvents degrade the shell and EPS liner over time.
