Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution; never use petroleum-based solvents, fuel, or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell and graphics.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; avoid paper towels or abrasive materials that will scratch the optical surface.
If a Pinlock insert is fitted, remove it from the visor before cleaning and rinse it with warm water only — do not use soap or detergent on the Pinlock lens.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash them in lukewarm water with a mild detergent; reshape by hand and air-dry flat, away from direct heat sources or sunlight.
Store the helmet in its dust bag or a ventilated, cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels, and solvents — chemical vapours can degrade the EPS liner without any outward sign of damage.
Do not apply adhesive stickers or decals directly to the shell unless the adhesive is confirmed safe for composite helmet shells; many adhesive solvents attack the shell structure.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present — the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber and its protective capacity is spent after a hard strike.
Periodically inspect the visor pivot, locking positions, and chin strap hardware for wear or looseness; replace components if the visor no longer locks firmly into position or the strap shows fraying.
Do not hang the helmet from its chin strap for extended periods; rest it on a flat, padded surface to avoid distorting the retention system.
Do not paint, drill, or modify the shell in any way, as this compromises structural integrity.
