The HJC RPHA 71 Carbon is a premium full-face helmet designed for sport and sport-touring riders who want the structural advantages of a carbon fibre composite shell without carrying unnecessary weight on long rides or fast roads. Its construction balances rigidity and impact absorption across a multi-density EPS liner tuned specifically for the carbon shell platform.

The Hamil MC5 variant brings race-inspired graphic work to the RPHA 71 Carbon's refined foundation, pairing visual distinction with the functional detail that defines the RPHA series — including an integrated drop-down sun visor, a Pinlock-ready face shield and a fully removable, washable interior.

  • Premium carbon fibre composite shell for high strength and reduced weight
  • ECE 22.06 certified
  • Integrated internal drop-down sun visor
  • Pinlock-ready face shield for anti-fog performance
  • Multi-density EPS impact liner
  • Adjustable front intake vents and rear exhaust ports for active airflow management
  • Emergency Quick Release (EQR) cheek pad system for assisted helmet removal by first responders
  • Removable and washable interior lining
  • Hamil MC5 graphic colourway

  • Clean the outer shell with lukewarm water and a mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, fuel, brake fluid or aggressive chemical cleaners, as these will degrade the shell finish and graphics.
  • Clean the face shield with lukewarm water and mild soap only — never wipe it dry with a rough cloth or paper towel, as abrasion scratches the optical surface and reduces clarity.
  • Remove interior cheek pads and liner and hand-wash them in cool water with a mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
  • Clean the Pinlock insert with lukewarm water only and allow it to air-dry; replace it if fogging or permanent cloudiness cannot be resolved by cleaning.
  • Retire the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present — the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber and will not provide equivalent protection in a subsequent impact.
  • Store the helmet in its carry bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, and keep it away from fuels, oils, paint fumes and household chemicals, all of which can compromise shell integrity over time.
  • Inspect the chin strap webbing and retention buckle regularly for fraying, cuts or deformation; if wear is found, have the helmet assessed by an authorised HJC dealer before further use.
  • Check the face shield pivot mechanism and locking detents periodically to confirm smooth, positive operation; replace the shield if pivots become loose or the optical surface is deeply scratched.
  • As a general guideline, consider replacing the helmet within five years of the manufacture date stamped inside the helmet, or sooner if the helmet has seen heavy use, been involved in an impact, or shows signs of liner compression or shell cracking.
