Description

The HJC IS-33 II Korba is a modular flip-up helmet built for touring and everyday road use. Available in the MC-10 colourway with the KORBA graphic, it combines the practicality of a chin bar that lifts clear of the face with HJC's advanced polycarbonate composite shell construction.

An integrated drop-down inner sun shield lets riders switch between tinted and clear vision on the move, while front crown ventilation and a rear exhaust channel keep airflow moving at speed. The fully removable, washable interior liner makes long-distance comfort easier to maintain.

Integrated speaker pockets in the cheek pads accommodate most Bluetooth communication systems without modification, and the Pinlock-ready face shield is prepared for anti-fog insert fitment. The IS-33 II suits riders who want genuine modular versatility without sacrificing everyday wearability.

Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution; avoid solvents, petrol or abrasive cleaners that degrade the shell finish and graphic lacquer.
Clean the face shield with lukewarm water and a soft cloth only; never wipe a dry visor as fine dust particles will scratch the optical surface.
To remove the face shield, follow HJC's quick-release mechanism — press the release tabs at both sides simultaneously and lift; refit by aligning the pivot points and pressing until both sides click.
Remove the cheek pads and crown liner and hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent; allow all interior components to air-dry fully before reinstalling.
The drop-down sun shield slider should move smoothly; if it feels stiff, clean any road grime from the channel with a soft brush — do not force the mechanism.
Check the chin bar locking mechanism before each ride; it should click firmly into the closed position with no play. Do not ride with the chin bar unlatched.
If fitting a Bluetooth communicator, use the integrated speaker pockets in the cheek pads and route cables so they do not obstruct the chin bar hinge or seal.
Replace the face shield if scratching, crazing or optical distortion develops, as impaired vision is a safety risk.
After any impact — even a drop — retire the helmet regardless of visible damage; EPS liners are single-use systems and internal damage may not be visible.
Store the helmet in a helmet bag or on a padded surface away from direct sunlight, petrochemical fumes and extreme heat, all of which degrade EPS and polycarbonate over time.
Regardless of condition, replace the helmet no later than five years from the date of manufacture, as printed on the interior label; shell and liner materials age even without visible wear.
