Remove the interior lining and cheek pads before washing; check the care label — most HJC interiors support a gentle cold machine wash cycle.
Wipe the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap only; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the polycarbonate shell and decals.
Clean the visor with a dedicated visor cleaner or diluted dish soap and a clean microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this causes fine surface scratches.
When operating the chin bar, use both hands and lift or lower it smoothly to avoid placing uneven stress on the hinge mechanism.
Inspect the chin bar locking mechanism before every ride to confirm it engages and holds securely.
