Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petrol, solvents, or household spray cleaners, which can craze or discolour the shell finish.
Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth only; paper towels and abrasive materials will permanently scratch the lens.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads according to the fitment tabs and hand-wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent; rinse thoroughly and air dry completely before refitting — do not tumble dry.
Keep the flip-up chin bar pivot points free of grit; wipe clean with a damp cloth and do not apply petroleum-based lubricants or WD-40 to the mechanism.
Inspect the Pinlock insert (if fitted) for crazing, fogging or deep scratches; replace it if it impairs vision.
Check the visor seal and tear-off posts (if used) for wear; a damaged seal reduces wind noise protection and allows moisture ingress.
Check the chin strap fastening before each ride to confirm it clicks or fastens securely and shows no signs of fraying or buckle wear.
Replace the helmet immediately after any impact, even if external damage is not visible — EPS liners crush to absorb energy and cannot recover after a significant strike.
Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, which degrade both the shell and EPS liner over time.
