Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, fuel, or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the polycarbonate shell and finish.
Clean the face shield with warm water and a mild soap solution; use a soft cloth or microfibre only — abrasive materials will scratch the lens and reduce optical clarity.
Fit the Pinlock 30 insert by locating it onto the two Pinlock pins on the inside of the face shield and pressing until it seats fully with no gaps around the perimeter; a small gap will allow fogging.
Remove interior cheek pads and liner by releasing the snap or velcro tabs; hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air dry completely before refitting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Operate the retractable sun visor using the left-side lever; periodically check that it slides freely and locks fully in both the up and down positions without rattling.
Check the chin bar locking mechanism before every ride — it should click firmly into the closed position with no play; do not ride with a chin bar that does not lock securely.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact even if external damage is not visible — EPS liner damage is internal and the helmet will not protect adequately in a subsequent impact.
Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, oil fumes, and chemical vapours, which can degrade the shell, liner, and retention system over time.
Adjust the chin and crown ventilation inlets to suit conditions: open for warm or humid riding, close in cold or wet weather to reduce wind noise and heat loss.
