The HJC i90 is a modular flip-up helmet built for road riders who want the full-face protection of a traditional helmet combined with the day-to-day practicality of a lifting chin bar. It suits commuters, tourers, and everyday riders who need to remove their visor at stops, wear glasses, or connect a Bluetooth headset without compromising safety.
The i90 is constructed around HJC's Advanced Polycarbonate Composite shell and features an integrated internal drop-down sun visor, removing the need to carry separate tinted eyewear. The removable, washable interior keeps the helmet comfortable over extended use.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth, mild soap, and warm water; never use petrol-based cleaners, solvents, or abrasive cloths, as these degrade the shell finish and graphics.
- Clean the outer visor with a damp microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles will scratch the surface and reduce optical clarity.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads for washing: hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry flat away from direct heat; do not tumble dry or iron.
- Install a Pinlock anti-fog insert if not already fitted when riding in cold or wet conditions.
- Before each ride, confirm the chin bar locks positively in both the closed and open positions — do not ride with the chin bar unlocked or partially latched.
- Check the chin strap and its retention system periodically for wear, fraying, or damage; replace if compromised.
- Store the helmet on a flat surface or dedicated stand away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and high heat — UV exposure and petroleum fumes degrade polycarbonate shells over time.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible; the EPS liner absorbs energy by crushing and cannot offer equivalent protection in a subsequent impact.
- Replace the outer visor if scratching becomes heavy enough to cause glare or distort vision.
