The HJC i90 LARK MC-3H is a modular flip-up helmet that combines the ventilation and convenience of an open-face design with the protection of a full-face shell. It suits commuters and touring riders who regularly need to communicate at stops without removing their helmet.
The LARK graphic is finished in HJC's MC-3H colourway on an advanced polycarbonate composite shell. A drop-down inner sun visor and Pinlock-ready face shield mean riders can adapt quickly to changing light conditions without carrying additional equipment.
The fully removable and washable interior liner and quick-release cheek pads make the i90 easy to maintain and straightforward to fit across different head shapes.

- Clean the outer shell with warm water and a mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, thinners, or abrasive cloths that can damage the polycarbonate shell and graphic finish.
- Clean the face shield with a dedicated visor cleaner or mild soapy water applied with a soft cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this scratches the surface and impairs vision.
- Fit and align the Pinlock insert according to the insert manufacturer's instructions, ensuring the seal is fully seated around the inner perimeter of the shield to prevent fogging.
- Remove the comfort liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry completely before refitting — do not tumble-dry.
- Raise and lower the flip-up chin bar deliberately and check the locking mechanism is fully latched before every ride; never ride with the chin bar unlocked or partially engaged.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any impact, even when no visible damage is present — EPS liner compression is not reversible and the helmet will not provide equivalent protection in a subsequent impact.
- Inspect the retention strap, buckle, and D-rings regularly for wear, fraying, or corrosion; replace components or the helmet if the retention system is compromised.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, and cleaning chemicals, all of which degrade polycarbonate and EPS materials over time — use the supplied bag or a dedicated helmet bag when not in use.
