The HJC i90 is a full-featured modular helmet designed for touring and everyday road riding. Its flip-up chin bar mechanism allows easy visor swaps and communication with passengers, while the integrated drop-down sun lens means you can adapt to changing light conditions without stopping.

Built around an advanced polycarbonate shell, the i90 combines a comfortable interior with HJC's ACS channelling ventilation system. The LARK MC-1SF graphic is applied in HJC's semi-flat red finish — a bold look that sits between gloss and full matte.

Suitable for riders who want modular convenience without sacrificing everyday wearability, the i90 is a practical choice for commuting, weekend rides, and longer touring stints.

  • Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water on a soft cloth; avoid solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish and shell integrity.
  • Clean the visor with the same mild soap solution; never use paper towel or dry cloth, as these scratch the lens.
  • Remove the cheek pads and interior liner before washing — hand wash in cold water with gentle detergent, reshape, and air-dry flat away from direct heat.
  • Do not machine wash any helmet component.
  • Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — EPS foam is a single-use energy absorber.
  • As a general guideline, replace the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture regardless of apparent condition, as UV exposure, sweat, and general aging degrade materials.
  • Store the helmet in its bag (if supplied) or a breathable cover in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and extreme heat (e.g. not in a car boot in summer).
  • Inspect the chin strap ratchet buckle and flip-up chin bar locking mechanism regularly for smooth, secure operation; do not ride if either feels loose or fails to lock positively.
  • Lubricate the visor pivot mechanism sparingly with a silicone-based lubricant if it becomes stiff; avoid petroleum-based products.
  • Ensure the Pinlock insert (if fitted) is seated correctly and the two pins are engaged before riding in cold or wet conditions.
