Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive cleaners or strong chemicals that can degrade the polycarbonate.
Wipe the face shield with lukewarm water and a soft, lint-free cloth — never wipe a dry shield, as trapped grit will scratch the surface.
Fit a compatible Pinlock lens (sold separately) to the face shield to reduce fogging in cold or humid conditions.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent and allow to dry fully before refitting.
Store the helmet in a carry bag or a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes, which degrade both the shell and the EPS liner over time.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — even without visible external damage, the EPS liner may be permanently compressed and unable to protect in a subsequent impact.
Inspect the chin strap, buckle and retention system periodically for signs of fraying, cracking or corrosion.
As a general guideline, retire the helmet no later than five years from first use or seven years from date of manufacture, even if it appears undamaged.
