Description

The HJC i71 SERA is a full-face road helmet built for everyday riders who want reliable protection, integrated convenience features, and a sharp graphic finish. The SERA design in HJC's MC-2 colourway — a red and white combination — gives the lid a race-influenced appearance without compromising versatility.

Constructed from an advanced polycarbonate shell and certified to ECE 22.06, the i71 pairs a drop-down internal sun visor with a Pinlock-ready main shield, making it a practical option for riding in changing light. The removable interior liner aids long-term comfort and hygiene.

Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, paint thinners or abrasive cleaners, which will damage the shell finish and graphics.
Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as trapped grit will cause permanent scratching.
Fit the included Pinlock 30 insert lens to the inner surface of the main visor using the alignment pins; ensure the silicone seal is fully flush around the perimeter to prevent fogging.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand wash them in cool water with a mild detergent; allow to air dry completely before refitting.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no external damage is visible — the EPS liner absorbs energy by deforming and cannot be depended upon after a crash.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels and chemical fumes, all of which degrade the polycarbonate shell and EPS liner over time.
Do not hang the helmet by its chin strap over a mirror or handlebar for extended periods, as sustained localised pressure can distort the liner shape.
Replace the helmet at least every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the fit, retention system or liner shows signs of deterioration.
