Description

The HJC i71 is a full-face road helmet aimed at everyday commuters and sport-touring riders who want reliable protection without compromising comfort or style. Built on HJC's Advanced Polycarbonate (APC) shell, it sits at the mid-range of HJC's lineup and delivers a practical feature set for regular road use.

The IORIX graphic in MC-2 colourway brings a bold, red-dominant design to the i71 platform. Inside, a removable and washable liner keeps the helmet fresh over long-term use, while an integrated retractable sun shield means you can ride comfortably across changing light conditions without swapping visors.

Operations & maintenance

Remove the cheek pads and liner before washing; hand wash with mild soap and cold water, then air dry fully before reinstalling.
Wipe the shell exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the polycarbonate shell.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft cloth; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch the surface.
Use the RapidFire+ lever to remove and refit the visor for thorough cleaning or replacement; ensure it clicks fully into the locked position before riding.
Store the helmet in its bag or a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, and oil vapours, which degrade foam liners over time.
Inspect the retention system (chin strap and buckle) regularly for wear or fraying; replace if damaged.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — EPS foam does not visibly compress on impact but its protective capacity is compromised.
If fitting a Pinlock insert, ensure the two pins on the visor are present and that the insert is seated evenly with no air gaps around the seal.
