The HJC i30 is a full-face street helmet built for everyday commuting and recreational road riding. Its PIM+ polycarbonate shell keeps weight manageable while delivering the structural integrity expected of a dedicated motorcycle helmet.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use solvents, fuel-based cleaners or abrasive pads, as these degrade the shell finish and graphics.
- Wipe the visor with a damp cloth or dedicated visor cleaner; never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles can permanently scratch the lens surface.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads for washing; hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry completely before reinstalling — do not machine-dry.
- Operate the drop-down sun shield mechanism regularly; if it feels stiff, gently clean the guide channel with a slightly damp cloth rather than forcing the lever.
- Inspect the visor seals periodically and replace them if cracked or flattened to maintain wind and weather sealing.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no visible damage is present — EPS foam compresses permanently on hard impact and does not return to full protective capacity.
- Store the helmet in its carry bag away from direct sunlight, fuels, lubricants and extreme heat, all of which degrade shell integrity and liner materials over time.
- Do not hang the helmet by the chin strap for extended periods, as this can distort the internal EPS liner shape.
