The HJC i30 is an open face motorcycle helmet designed for commuters and touring riders who want the practicality of an integrated drop-down sun visor without giving up the open-shell freedom they ride for. Its advanced polycarbonate construction keeps weight in check while delivering the structural integrity expected of a certified road helmet.

The removable and washable interior keeps the helmet fresh through extended use, and the clean Pearl White finish works equally well as a high-visibility colour and a neutral complement to varied riding kit.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened in mild soapy water; avoid petrol, solvents, paint thinners and abrasive cleaners, as these degrade polycarbonate and any printed graphics.
- Clean the visor and internal sun visor lens with warm water and a soft, damp cloth — never dry-wipe either lens, as doing so causes fine scratches that impair visibility in low-angle sunlight.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent; allow both to air-dry fully before refitting, as trapped moisture causes odour and can irritate skin.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, heat sources and fuel vapours; prolonged UV exposure and hydrocarbons degrade polycarbonate and EPS foam over time.
- Do not apply adhesive stickers, aerosol paints or chemical treatments to the outer shell, as these can compromise structural integrity without any visible sign of damage.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where external damage is not apparent — EPS foam compresses permanently on impact and cannot be relied upon to protect in a subsequent event.
- Inspect the chin strap, buckle and retention hardware periodically for fraying, corrosion or mechanical wear; retire the helmet if the strap shows fraying or the buckle does not engage and release cleanly.
- Check that the drop-down sun visor deploys and retracts smoothly and locks positively in both the fully raised and fully lowered positions before each ride; wipe the pivot area with a dry cloth if movement becomes stiff.
