Clean the visor with a damp, lint-free cloth and mild soap; allow bugs or debris to soak briefly before wiping to avoid scratching the lens.
Avoid solvent-based or petroleum-based cleaners on the visor or shell — these degrade anti-scratch coatings and polycarbonate over time.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand wash in cool water with mild detergent and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
Clean the shell exterior with mild soap and warm water only; do not use wax, polish, or abrasive compounds.
Store the helmet in a carry bag or on a stable surface away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, all of which degrade materials over time.
Inspect the visor regularly for scratches or crazing; a damaged visor can impair vision in bright or oncoming-light conditions and should be replaced.
Retire and replace the helmet after any significant impact — even one with no visible external damage — as the EPS liner compresses permanently on impact and will not offer full protection again.
Do not apply stickers, spray paint, or adhesive products to the shell unless explicitly approved by HJC, as these can chemically attack the polycarbonate.
